2010-11-01: Call for Applicants

Call for Applications from BME PhD students:

Training Program in Translational Research in Imaging (TPTRI)

A new T32 supported training program was launched Sept 2010.  This program supports students who are pursuing research in Imaging.  In the program, each student will have an “engineering mentor” and a “clinical mentor” to supervise their thesis.  Special seminar series and research days will bring imaging scientists at Johns Hopkins together.  Students in the program will have access to courses in clinical practice offered to residents and fellows in clinical departments such as Radiology, Cardiology, and Radiation Oncology.  Students in the program will have access to additional travel funds to support conference attendance.

The interested students should submit a statement describing their research goals and past experience (less than 500 words).  Students can also propose a mentorship team.  Selection of the 7 students for each year will be based on the student’s commitment to translational imaging research and preference will be given to first and second year students.  The training slots are open only to the U.S. Citizens  and Permanent Residents.

Please email your application to the director of the training program and CC the Ph.D. program administrator:
